Zoe’s 9th birthday was one colourful, floral filled affair. Zoe loves playing with flowers so, on her request, her mother and her aunty threw her a flower crown workshop slash high tea themed birthday party. Luckily, Zoe’s aunty Ash is a florist, so Zoe was able to pick her favourite bits and pieces from Ash’s collection of fresh blooms.

Using a colour palette of purple, pink and gold, Zoe chose a range Daisies, Roses and bright mini Gerbras, which are ‘often overlooked for being too ‘90’s’ but very easy to use on crowns for little ones.’ The girls had an absolute ball constructing their flower crowns together.

They all agreed that their favourite part of the day was leaping around the backyard and posing wildly for photos with their beautiful new floral accessories! We think this is one of the greatest girly party themes to we’ve come across. It might seem a little complicated at first, but we suggest following Ash’s advice. ‘I was worried that the crown activity might be a little too fiddly for them, but with a bit of guidance and encouragement they became more confident. Keeping numbers down also helped as I was able to be hands on with each of the girls,’ said Ash.
