December-born Liam, three, is one of those special kids who gets to celebrate his birthday all month long, which for his parents, can be a bit overwhelming. So this year they chose a holiday-themed party. With Christmas music on constant rotation, a modern, boy-approved holiday cookie decorating party was dreamed up. The girls can’t have all the fun!

Upon arrival, the mums were greeted with festive holiday corsages made with pine branches, jingle bells and ribbon. Meanwhile, the kiddies got a special cotton candy treat.

There was even a ‘Naughty and Nice’ cocktail bar, stocked with milk for the children and spiked coffee for the adults.

We asked Jillian for her words of advice to others planning their child’s birthday party. ‘Start planning the party at least a month or two in advance,’ said Jillian. ‘This will allow enough time to DIY and gather all the special decor elements. Also, have a few activities planned throughout the party to help focus the kids and stay busy. Our main event was the cookie decorating, so we allowed for plenty of time for free play prior to the decorating. Looking back, I might have added one more activity. This way the kids aren’t just running around screaming their heads off!’RC-Birthday-Liams3rdBirthday-01.jpgRC-Birthday-Liams3rdBirthday-18.jpgRC-Birthday-Liams3rdBirthday-20.jpgRC-Birthday-Liams3rdBirthday-14.jpgRC-Birthday-Liams3rdBirthday-19.jpgRC-Birthday-Liams3rdBirthday-21.jpg RC-Birthday-Liams3rdBirthday-27.jpg RC-Birthday-Liams3rdBirthday-22.jpg RC-Birthday-Liams3rdBirthday-16.jpg RC-Birthday-Liams3rdBirthday-15.jpg
