RC_Showers_ReneesBridalShower_23.jpgThere’s nothing quite like a surprise hens party to make a bride-to-be feel special! Renee is a busy lawyer by day, so her lovely bridesmaids took initiative and threw her a beautiful surprise vintage shower at The Craft Parlour, Miami on the Gold Coast of Australia. ‘All I knew was that I would be picked up at 8am and whisked away for a day of fun,’ says Renee.

The girls were treated to a loom weaving workshop at The Craft Parlour. Whilst learning to weave, the ladies chatted and laughed, sipped champagne and nibbled on a scrumptious spread of scones with jam and cream, cheeses, olives, fruit and chocolates. A stunning gluten-free orange and almond naked cake was a highlight, decorated with fresh blooms and toffee shards. The classic vintage style made for a beautiful and homely backdrop for the event.

Every little detail was looked after, with handmade lace doilies and floral arrangements covering the main long table and decorations adorning the walls. Posies, tulip petals, geraldton, lisianthus and gum nuts elevated the space to give it a dreamy and natural look, fitting in with the décor and tableware. ‘Every aspect of the day was beautiful. There was so much attention paid to every little detail. I felt so special and overwhelmingly loved,’ says Renee.
