A February birthday in Atlanta often means an indoor party, due to the freezing weather at that time of year. For Alea Moore, her daughter Elin’s fourth birthday called for something a little different to typical indoor parties, like bowling or roller-skating. With Elin’s love of the outdoors paramount, Alea got creative, using a local garden nursery to house an intimate floral themed party.

‘She loves playing in the dirt and loves flowers, so a nursery seemed just perfect!’ Alea told us. With a ton of DIY elements, the nursery was transformed into a little slice of spring for Elin’s big day. Alea and her Mum crafted unique flower party hats, which the girls loved choosing for themselves. ‘My sweet mama stayed up with me until midnight making the flowers out of crepe paper and hot gluing the flowers on the hat.’ Alea said. Birthday girl Elin and her friends were treated to homemade macarons, popcorn, fruit and tea sandwiches.

‘Little girls love to pick, so niblets were perfect for them!’ Alea said. As for entertainment, what better to do in a nursery than garden? The girls and their mothers decorated their own flowerpots and chose a flower to plant. They then took them home to watch them grow! Have a look at the beautiful images of Elin’s birthday below.
