Located at Chateau Dore, a historic winery in regional Victoria, Esther and Huw married in the presence of 100 family and friends.

We’re in awe of the stunning event styling at Esther and Huw’s wedding—all of which was arranged by the bride herself! Esther explains, ‘Huw wisely said “Chicken I love your style, you’ll create something beautiful”’. And that she did!

‘The day was homage to the tones and antique style of our home the colours that we surround ourselves with on a daily basis, those that represent us the most and subsequently create a vibe of rich warmth, viscosity and tangible excitement!’ adds Esther.

The gold tone of the bride’s dress was the driving inspiration behind the event styling. Esther says, ‘I wanted my gold dress to be reflected in the gold leaf in the afternoon champagne, the brassy hues of the pheasant feathers in the men’s corsages and floral arrangements, the gold tint on rose petals scattered down the aisle to the copper and brass trays for the cognac and cigars.’

So why the gold dress? Esther says, ‘I tried on so many white, ivory, oyster and champagne dresses only to feel like they didn’t encapsulate my personality or my curvaceous physique. Looking through vintage pieces of old Hollywood glamour, I sketched the idea of a gold sequin dress. Knowing that I was not going to find anything like this on the market, I approached an incredibly talented dressmaker Trish McCully.’

And the food? As a farmer, Huw’s love of the land inspired the menu and fresh seasonal produce served to guests at the reception. Guests enjoyed pumpkin ravoli with burnt butter and sage, oven-roasted lamb and pork with seasonal vegetables, sticky date pudding and lemon tart and decadent cheese and chocolate platters.RC_Weddings_EstherandHuw_002 RC_Weddings_EstherandHuw_010 RC_Weddings_EstherandHuw_011RC_Weddings_EstherandHuw_013 RC_Weddings_EstherandHuw_014 RC_Weddings_EstherandHuw_020 RC_Weddings_EstherandHuw_021 RC_Weddings_EstherandHuw_028 RC_Weddings_EstherandHuw_031 RC_Weddings_EstherandHuw_034RC_Weddings_EstherandHuw_027 RC_Weddings_EstherandHuw_033 RC_Weddings_EstherandHuw_090 RC_Weddings_EstherandHuw_087 RC_Weddings_EstherandHuw_113
