Woohoo! There’s about to be a party up in here and you can bet your bottom dollar that it’ll be a stylish one with these fun coasters! They’re super easy to make and will add a real pop of colour to your party décor.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Balsa wood | Colourful craft paint | black vinyl (or a sharpie if you’d prefer to hand write) | Cricut explore to cut the balsa wood (or a Stanley knife and something round if you’d prefer to do it by hand)

WHAT TO DO

  1. Cut out several circle shapes using your Cricut explore or your Stanley knife. We would recommend following the shape of a glass if you’re using the knife. Also don’t worry if the edges get a little jagged, that tends to happen with balsa wood when cutting something circular.
  2. Paint your circles and allow to dry, then paint them again with a second coat and leave to dry thoroughly.
  3. Finally, if you’re using your Cricut, choose a font you like and type in whatever you would like written on your coasters. Then let your Cricut cut them out on black vinyl and stick them on! If you’re using a sharpie then now is your time to get creative!

AND THEN

And that’s it—job done! Now all you need to do is mix up some yummy cocktails and pour them into some pretty glasses so your guests can use your new fancy coasters.Blog_DIY_Make_Coasters_03Blog_DIY_Make_Coasters_04
