Boy oh boy, do we have a treat for you today! We’ve just discovered a super cute book jam-packed with a bunch of our fave things (think: craft projects, party DIYs, flower arranging, tips on keeping indoor plants alive, just to name a few!) …and we’ve got five copies to give away to our beautiful readers (that’s you!).
And the book in question? It’s called Sunshine Spaces and it’s by the incredible Melbourne-based designer and illustrator, Beci Orpin (you may remember her illustrations from the cover of the debut issue of HOORAY!). To help you to bring more sunshine into your life, Beci shares her ideas and guides you step-by-step through fun projects for indoors, outdoors, party and play. Projects include planter pots and hanging pots, a picnic blanket and outdoor cushions, hammock and swing, sun umbrella and much more. Beci also includes advice on the best indoor plants and their care, flower arranging and natural art installations,
Two of our fave sections of the book are Party and Play (who’d have guessed!), where Beci shares her ideas for an outdoor moonlit dinner party with lanterns, flower crowns and table decorations, as well as a play tent and cubby, pet rocks and a sun dial for the kids. Using a bunch of easily accessible materials including wood, flowers and plants, fabric, rope and string, concrete and some recycled products, Beci gives you the lowdown everything you need to know to bring the sunshine into your life and home.
