Nestled in a lush garden of a private residence set in Perth Hills, this champagne-fuelled bridal brunch exudes with understated femininity and carefree summer vibes.
Guests were treated to a grazing table overflowing with an abundance of opulent international and local produce—think cheeses drizzled in fresh local honeycomb, adorned with juicy Western Australian grapes, figs and berries; vanilla bean cupcakes with raspberries and orange blossoms; and an array of embossed fondant sugar cookies.
Following the food fanfare, invitees took part in a flower crown-making workshop under the guidance of The Little Flower Bomb. Their floral creations made the perfect accessory for the wine tour and dinner to follow (…and a much more tasteful alternative to the typical bachelorette veil or pink satin sash!).
The stylist behind this event, Ashly of Homethugs and Harmony, loves creating beautiful events for the ‘anti-bride’ (and ‘anti-hen’). In stying the décor, instead of opting for clichés commonly associated with bachelorette parties, Ashly took inspiration from a colour palette of soft blush tones and whites to create a ‘pretty’ feel, offset with matte black and deep red tones to give a bit of edge.
Ashly says, ‘We wanted to create something ‘pretty’ but still edgy. Something that was chic- not country!’
‘Blush tones in the glassware and crockery, and the crisp white furniture and linen, helped us to achieve the ‘pretty’ part, reflecting the bright, breezy tone of the event—while matte black cutlery and deep tones on the grazing table made sure we weren’t too ‘girly’.’
