A Wander Through the Wildflowers
Sunday, October 15th, 2017 | By Emily Coates
This one’s for the wild-spirited brides; those drawn to the beautiful and whimsy, who aren’t afraid to walk by the beat of their own drum.
In Harden, Australia, the beginning of Spring is marked by a sea of golden rolling hills, rich with an abundance of canola in full bloom. An endless vision of yellow botanicals melts into a pastel blue sky, creating a truly spectacular backdrop.
As self-confessed flower-lovers, we couldn’t resist putting together a bridal editorial inspired by the setting. The canola remains in flower for only a fleeting moment, which left a short window to catch them in all their glory—however, a chance encounter with Bel Combridge Photography saw our stars align and our photoshoot come together within less than a week (…talk about hustle!).
This series of awe-inspiring frames paints a picture of two brides taking a wander through the wildflowers. Dressed in intricate lace gowns and playful Spring frocks, they frolic through the fields before settling down for a picnic.
As the sun begins to dip, they rise to dance in the golden afternoon sunlight.
A perfect revelry shared between two brides, in full bloom.
