Pink and pretty are the only two words to describe Willow’s 1st birthday party. Brooke, Willow’s Mum and owner of paper party goods store, Piccolo Studio, has always been a big pink girl, so she knew she wanted to incorporate the colour into the décor and styling as much as possible.

‘I have a 4 year old son who I have loved putting together parties for, but I never really got my pink fix!  This was a good opportunity to make something super girly!’ Brooke said.

To complement all of the pink, Brooke also incorporated some peach tones and accents of gold into the styling, like her hand painted labels, handmade pink and gold piñatas and handmade pink, peach and gold garlands. And because the party fell on the Easter long weekend, it was only fitting that she give it a bunny theme as well, hand making a bunny garland, bunny masks and bunny treat boxes for Willow’s little guests.

We asked Brooke for some advice on how to plan a stress-free kid’s birthday party, to which she said, ‘Plan ahead, and try and keep things as easy as possible for you on the day. I always like to decorate the space the night before because it will be more time consuming than you ever think it is going to be,’ she told us.
