We think this White Winter Cosmo is the perfect beverage for holiday festivities. Created by the lovely Emilie of The Clever Carrot, this white cosmo is a seasonal take on the classic cosmopolitan.

Taking inspiration from the holiday season, these festive tipples are garnished with sugar covered cranberries and sprigs of fragrant mint. To make them for a party, simply make a big batch in advance and chill until ready to serve.Blog_DIY_Eat_winter-white-cosmo-cocktail_01

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Cocktail: 1 shot citron vodka | 1 shot white cranberry juice | ½ shot Cointreau | 1 shot fresh lime juice

Garnish: Fresh mint | Sugar covered cranberries (can substitute with frozen cranberries or raspberries) | Red toothpicks or wooden skewers

WHAT TO DO

1. Fill a small glass with ice.

2. Combine the cocktail ingredients and mix well. Adjust with extra lime or cranberry juice to suit your taste. There should be a fine balance between sweet & tart. Alternatively, you can shake up your ingredients with ice and strain into chilled martini glasses.

3. For the garnish, skewer mint sprigs and two sugar covered cranberries onto a toothpick. 4. Place on the rim of the glass (not in the drink) so that the sugar doesn’t melt. Let your guests use it to stir their cocktail. You might find that toothpicks are too short to balance on the rim of your glass. Substitute with wooden skewers instead. Cut them down to your desired size and proceed with the garnish.

AND THEN

Serve straight away!
