The Social Club
Situated on the first floor of the 1950s built ‘Douros Building’ in Kingston is this boutique, blank canvas event space. With its expansive floorplan, soaring ceilings and contrasting views over Greensquare, this hidden gem is truly a one-of-a-kind venue in Canberra.
At The Social Club, all of your event dreams can be made a reality. A place that you would expect to find on the Pinterest board of any discerning interiors lover, it’s decked out with the finest finishes including Carrara marble benchtops, exposed beams, full-height glass windows, French gold hardware, handmade pendant lights and original timber floors throughout.
There’s also a host of unique elements that add extra personality the space including a blush pink SMEG fridge, handmade timber swings, a plethora of indoor plants and value added extras like a dedicated event manager, a fully equipped commercial kitchen, AV and state of the art sound system, a wireless microphone, and a host handpicked designer furniture available at no extra cost.
But the best part has got to be The Social Club’s pledge to take everything that annoys people about event venues, and flip it on its head. Events are made super easy with the team’s flexible mentality. Not only do they have all the essentials, there’s also need for compromises – stay as late as you like, burn those scented candles, hang your string lights, bring your own caterer, serve your homemade alcohol. It’s not just accepted, it’s encouraged!

The Social Club is set to become Canberra’s most stylish events venue. There are six room options available for hire, starting at just $50 per hour. Events can range between 8 and 250 guests standing or 150 seated.
