Sunday May 31 saw another highly anticipated HOORAY! floral styling workshop with none other than The Style Co! Students arrived at The Style Co. HQ just before 10am and were thrilled to be greeted with a goodie bag full of gifts from HOORAY!, Say it with Polish, Winnow Chocolates and Koch & Co After playing with their new gifts and settling into the class, Tim and Viv from The Style Co. began the day with a short introduction, then they split the class into two different groups. Tim taught his group the ins and outs of creating the perfect table scape, as well as a simple buttonhole technique, while Viv taught her group how The Style Co. create their beautiful floral arches! Before long the room was full of budding floral stylists trying out their newfound skills, with fresh florals and foliage in abundance. Eventually the groups stopped for lunch, which was provided by the amazing Julia of Merci Mama. She brought with her a gorgeous DIY Soba Noodle Salad Bar, which included illustrations from the very talented David Abraham Michael. A decadent Butterscotch Budino for dessert followed lunch that filled up students to the absolute brim! Afterwards, the two groups swapped over and it was back to trimming, cutting and tying. Before long, as always it was time for a quick Q & A session to finish the class, then we sent everyone away with their beautiful creations, goodie bags and fresh floral knowledge. We were so impressed by the beauty our students were able to create in just one day!
