Wednesday, December 9th, 2015 | By Emily Coates
Who doesn’t love a pool party? And no, they’re not just for kids! Pool parties can be a fun way to celebrate a special occasion during the warmer months. With summer just around the corner, we thought we’d share some tips to help you make a splash out of your summer pool party.
1. Make some popsicles
Nothing says summer quite like a popsicle. All it takes is some lemonade and fresh fruit, then pour into a popsicle mould and freeze overnight. Voila! The perfect summer treat for your guests to enjoy on the pool side.

2. Provide the pool toys
After all, what’s a pool party without some pool toys? Whether you’ve opted for inflatable swans, donuts, or the humble pool noodle, pool toys are an essential part of any pool party. They’ll keep your guests entertained, plus they’ll make for some cute decor.

3. Pull together a fruit platter
Fruit platters and pool parties go together like peaches and cream. Make a fresh fruit platter with bright summery fruits for your guests to enjoy in between dips in the water. Your guests will love it (and you’ll love how easy it is to prepare!)

4. Set the scene
A few simple, creative touches will do the trick. Summer pool parties demand colour, so add some bright tableware, fun decorations and colourful touches like these super cute flamingo straws. Let the warm colours of summer influence your colour palette.

5. Serve some fruity refreshments
Pool parties provide the perfect excuse to make a batch of lemonade. When it’s hot outside, an icy cold refreshment will go down a treat. We recommend pink lemonade with lemon garnish and plenty of ice.
