Just like a flower shop with buckets of blooms galore, we’re totally obsessing over this floral-themed party created to celebrate Rosie’s first birthday. And for a little girl by the name of Rosie, could there be a more appropriate theme?

Rosie’s aunty Kendra says, ‘Rosie is such a sweet and gentle soul, so we wanted to celebrate her with her own little flower shop. We’d created a corner store themed party for her big brother Oliver’s first birthday a few years ago, so we liked the idea of the parties having this link.’

A colour palette of bright whites, leafy greens, soft pinks and punchy pops of colour set the scene for Rosie’s soiree.

Kendra says, ‘we found two beautiful printed papers from Rifle Paper Co that set the colour palette. From these, we made paper party hats, ice cream cone wrappers and party bag tags with.’

As well as a beautiful coconut-flavoured cake created by Lisa from Burnt Butter, guests enjoyed perfectly on-theme rose-shaped ice cream sticks, which were custom made by Kendra’s partner Som of Popstic Ice Cream.

Kendra explains, ‘My partner Som is an ice cream maker and a party isn’t a party at our house without ice cream! Som created the rose-shaped popstics in coconut sorbet and peppermint ice cream for the little ones and gin and champagne shaped sorbets for the adults.

And the décor? A letter board displayed the ‘flower shop price list’ and doubled as birthday signage, while partyware from Ruby Rabbit created a feminine feel—including mini chalkboards and stickers (which were used to create flower bucket tags), kraft party bags, heart balloons, plates and cups.

Kendra says, ‘I love creating and celebrating children’s events because they are such special milestones! It’s rewarding to see guests enjoying the details and having fun.’

‘As a family, we’ll remember the party forever as it was the moment Rose chose to take her first steps!’
