A 5th Birthday Brunch Themed Brunch

Every night before bed, April (owner of Amuse Events & Rentals) and her son Dex, talk about what they hope to dream about. Every night, Dex chooses pancakes and waffles.

So what happens when mum is an event planner and son is turning 5? Keep reading to find out…

The Theme

The goal: Create the most epic brunch party ever, bringing all of Dex’s dreams to life. *Cue* a 4 foot waffle, a 6ft piece of bacon and an 8ft pancake. The look on the birthday boy’s face says it all. What better way to celebrate your 5th birthday than with a brunch themed brunch?

April had fun with some DIY, making the backdrop herself using drywall, plywood and foam, giving that extra touch to this brunch themed oasis. The other styling details we’re not overlooked either. Shades of yellow, orange and brown brought the theme to life, mimicking sunshine and the morning time. Dried mini palms, rabbits tails and pampas grass lined the tables and added the perfect finishing touch to this sunny garden party.

The Food

No brunch is complete without waffles right? Well at this brunch, there was a waffle pop bar (and of course it was totally insta worthy!) If the candied bacon, pecans, coconut and fruity pebbles weren’t enough – guests could choose from fried chicken, waffle cones, fresh fruit and more, to satisfy their brunch cravings.

Not vibing actual brunch food? The bacon and egg shaped sugar cookies were there to satisfy any further sugar cravings.

Whilst the adults sipped on mimosas (a brunch essential, if you ask us) and orange crushes, the kiddies enjoyed faux-mosas. All served from a vintage caravan styled to perfection!

After singing happy birthday, everyone enjoyed cinnamon bun cupcakes to finish off the 5th Birthday festivities and feast.
