Every little teddy bear who attended this celebration was sure to be in for a treat.

With a name like ‘Teddy’, this cute and playful theme was the obvious choice for little Teddy’s 2nd birthday party!

Take a look at what the little teddy bears got up to during their picnic in the woods.

THE THEME

The talented Brooke of Something White Events wanted to take a ‘different approach to the traditional theme and really think outside the box.’

As Brooke explains, ‘I find there is an overwhelming amount of inspiration out there for girls’ parties, but boys, not so much. I wanted to have a really fun, playful twist for this scene with not a checked tablecloth in sight.’

Taking inspiration from Harlow and Grey’s Malibu collection, Brooke selected a colour palette of pastel blues, grey tones and gold highlights. Wood and woven textures added warmth, creating a cosy, woodland setting.

Brooke adds, “the personalised bon bons, straw flags, chocolate wrappers and placemats all featured lines and quotes from the popular song’ for the table setting. These small details brought the theme to life and added a super adorable touch!

THE FOOD

The picnic was filled with what little bears like best…honey! Brooke says, ‘all of the featured desserts played homage to the song and theme with little notes of picnics, bears and honey.’ This included custom cookies, lemon meringue honey pots, beehive macarons stacks and other scrumptious picnic treats created by some of Sydney’s most talented dessert artists.

Positioned behind the picnic setting, was a tent filled with teddy bears and a sign reading “no feeding the bears”. You know how hungry bears can get—we don’t want them to eat the food before the guests arrive!

THE OUTFITS

If you go down in the woods today you’d better go in disguise!

All party guests had to look the part. We are totally obsessed with these bear bonnets from Native Fable paired with frilly picnic attire by Jamie Kay. A dress up occasion is always loads of fun and truly brought the theme to life!
