A Fashion Stylist’s Daughter’s 1st Birthday

Ever wondered how a fashion stylist would style a kids’ birthday party? Well, dear party lovers, you’ve come to the right place! Today we’re sharing all the snaps from the super sweet first birthday of Elle, the youngest daughter of one of our fave fashion stylists, Lana Wilkinson.

Lana says, ‘I thought fashion styling was crazy… until I saw Leah Purcell and Vivienne Mercado of The Melbourne Planner hard at work! They styled, organised, sourced and set up absolutely everything, which made our afternoon as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.’

Taking the theme of ‘Neverland’ as the guiding inspiration for the decor, the event was styled with an array of whimsical details; from ombre pink balloons floating above the outdoor pool, to a swing-chair enveloped by cascading greenery and fresh garden blooms. A wall adorned with paper flowers in shades of pinks, purples and blue tones added a playful backdrop to a table set up in the perfect size for mini party-goers.

In addition to a fairy entertainer, guests were treated to live portrait illustrations, which doubled as a keepsake for little guests to take home at the end of the celebration.

Lana adds, ‘it was such a special day thanks to all of our amazing friends and family who came along to celebrate.’
