This gorgeous gathering of the gals is the dreamiest afternoon affair. The warm earthy colour palette of deep pinks, burnt oranges, yellows and terracotta tones against the Aussie bushland setting is serving some serious girly tea party vibes.
With Autumn well upon us now, it was the perfect time for a decadent, bohemian-themed afternoon tea. Being the season with the most prominent golden colour palette, it’s the ideal palette to bring a sense of warmth before the chill sets in. This group of bush babes took full advantage of the beautiful ‘noon air and created the loveliest hen’s celebration.
Set against a backdrop of greenery, these bright earthy tones are something else. This hen’s afternoon tea is the work of an array of bush-based businesses in Temora, NSW. Sourcing everything locally; from the statement handmade resin earrings, to the cheeseboards, and the macramé hangings and placemats.
Alison Swanston of Kindly, Darling (the heaven that those fab dresses fell from) – along with all the other event vendors – wanted to show that it doesn’t matter where you are located geographically, your dreams can come true. Using this hens afternoon to showcase the beauty in having your next event in regional Australia.
Regional Australia means more than stunning expanses of land though, there’s also the country’s finest produce at your fingertips. The ladies had their own fingertips on delicate, dimpled glasses with a local Moonlight Cabernet Sauvignon from Borambola Wines and cheers’d over the whitewashed palette table. Speaking of the table, we absolutely cannot skip over those bright bunches of roses – pink ones, red ones, and all the peachy colours in between. Picked from the family-owned farm, Bush Roses, and paired with local peppercorn and wattle foliage.
On advice for hosting an afternoon affair of this pretty nature, hiring an incredible event planner and stylist is key for a beautifully styled event. The best part is, they set up and pack up so all you have to do is enjoy!
