As the quote goes, ‘A dream is a wish your heart makes.’ When plans to celebrate Nora’s birthday at Disneyland came to a halt, the only choice left for Nora’s Mum was to bring the Disney dream to her.
This creative mama Rozalyn, of Poptarts and Peonies, knew right off the bat that she wanted Nora to have a vintage Disney birthday celebration, with perfectly pastel details, lots of pretty DIY elements – and of course, a healthy dose of magic!
Taking inspiration from the most magical place on earth, this birthday party is full of whimsical wonder fit for a princess’s birthday.
Inspired by a vintage cross-stitch pattern and all things disney, Roz, and the team at Parker Grace Events, set to work bringing this soiree to life.
This party references all the staples of a trip to Disneyland, from the classic mouse ears to the sweet treats, no detail was overlooked with every detail from food, decor, party favours and outfits tying together Nora’s Disney soiree.
A Disney-themed soiree would not be complete without the themed treats to match.
The princesses in attendance were spoilt for choice with an assortment of Mickey-shaped cookies, lollipops, cupcakes, and mini donuts on offer.
Even the adults had a treat to themselves, with champagne infused with cotton candy (and shaped like Mickey Mouse, of course!). Plus a themed charcuterie board to match.
But these weren’t the only treats this soiree had on offer.
The little princesses were treated to denim jackets, personalised with their names embroidered on the back, handmade Mickey-shaped wands, and custom Mickey necklaces, which served as placeholders complete with their names.
The final treat came in the form of a Mickey-shaped pinata, filled not with candy, but with a glittery surprise!
With all thing Disney as the order of the day, the soiree was dressed to the nines with pastels and mickey motifs as far as the eye could see.
Roz worked her DIY magic on a sign above the table, which was inspired by the cross-stitch pattern that had inspired the party’s theme.
The treats table was draped in pink sequin fabric, pulling out the pops of colour in the cross stitch signs, the flowers, and the tissue paper fringe that was the backdrop to the treats table.
The princesses were able to cast a glance at their outfits in a, fittingly Mickey-shaped-floral-edged-mirror, complete with a message written in calligraphy.
A lettered balloon display, spelling out MAGIC, topped this four-year-old’s vintage Disney soiree off with a colourful and magical touch.
