To propose to Jayde, Brock sent her and Ruby, their one year old daughter, on a scavenger hunt that eventually led to him on one knee with a ring in hand.
‘He really is such as romantic…I cried so much with joy, I actually can’t remember all of the amazing things he said,’ says Jayde.
‘It was everything I dreamed of – it involved Ruby and it was just the three of us.’
The theme ‘modern elegance’ set the tone for Jayde and Brock’s wedding, influenced heavily by the gardens, trees, hedges fences and stone walls at their location, Willow & Stone Estate. From the classic bridal gown, to the acrylic place cards, every element was sleek and sophisticated.
Guests dined under the cover of a stunning clear marquee, strung with festoon lights, decorated with white blooms and touches of gold throughout. Afterwards, they moved outside to dance in the beautiful gardens directly under the stars.
‘It was something we had dreamed of. Our wedding was all about dancing and our band was a total hit. They had the entire wedding up and dancing all night,’ says Jayde.
‘The setting, the day, everything…what was a once a dream became a reality and we just want to go back and do it all again. Post wedding blues are a real thing.’
When it came to planning the wedding, Jayde’s motto was ‘simple is best’. Nothing was overdone, which meant no money was wasted. She also spent a lot of time planning and asking for quotes to ensure her dream wedding met her budget.
‘Don’t settle for one price. Everyone will always help to work within your budget to create something amazing,’ says Jayde.
‘I allocated bigger budgets to the things that really mattered, like photography and videography. These are our memories presented to us in the most amazing way. It was worth every sent.’
As for Jayde’s favourite part?
‘That moment where your eyes meet his is unforgettable. Brock was holding our daughter Ruby as [I] walked down the aisle towards him. That very moment I will cherish forever. You honestly couldn’t see bigger smiles on two people’s faces,’ she explained.
