A Garden Courtyard Kitchen Tea
Friday, April 22nd, 2016 | By Rosalie Iannelli
The Patio of The Grounds of Alexandria is an oasis within a garden sanctuary and was a flawless backdrop for Jessica’s Kitchen Tea.
‘The space provided a perfect platform to create a memorable event in a beautiful setting that welcomed my guests from both sides of the family,’ said Jessica.
The garden is fresh, light, enveloped in greenery and oozes rustic charm – this was used to inspire the styling of the event, which featured wooden design elements, naked cakes and a pop of colour to contrast the green accents.
Given that Jessica is a teacher, books also played a major part in the table styling. She also gave her guests homemade thank you candles, individually labeled with their initials.
As for the games? Some not-so-typical kitchen tea games were on the cards, to help keep guests engaged and excited.
‘My bridesmaids created a range of “Minute to win it” games, based around kitchen utensils and home wares. The guests absolutely loved the brilliance of the “not so typical” feel of the day and said that the games were a huge ice-breaker!’ said Jessica.
