Dark decadence meets a hazy drunken birthday affair in this stunning styled shoot. Combining 90s grunge with high-end glam, and models with a ‘I woke up like this’ vibe, this champagne-fuelled dinner party is simply dripping with pure elegance.
A colour palette of gunmetal, white, grey, black, magenta, plum, blush and chocolate set a lavish tone, while a tabletop adorned with pale and luminous blooms soften the tone.
The visionary behind these stunning visuals is Taya Paparone, a freelance Perth-based event manager and creative director.
Taya says, ‘The shoot centres around the fictitious birthday party of Amelia Waldorf. It’s one-part 90s brat pack decadence, one-part Gossip Girl glam.’
‘I brought the Elegantly Wasted concept idea to Jessie-Rae Clarke and Joy Foster of Una Studio, who expertly executed the look and feel,’ adds Taya.
‘Together we enlisted Tanya Voltchanskaya, photographer and film maker, whose moody and art-driven style is exactly what we were seeking. Within the shoot we have achieved a high society atmosphere with an undercurrent of attitude and drama.’
‘We hoped to incorporate all the elements of a great birthday party and show the stages of the evening unfolding in a story of affluence, indulgence and style.’
