A baby’s first birthday is always a big milestone, and what more cause could you need for a celebration?

Dea’s first birthday included another milestone in her life, her baptism. So, taking her birthday and her baptism, her mum, Silvia, tied both events together beautifully to create a stunning celebration for Dea.

So, if you’re looking for inspiration or just want to live vicariously through others, then this is the event for you.

The Décor

Wanting to keep things minimal, Silvia took a colour palette of whites, soft pinks, apricots, oranges and pops of watermelon pink, and let the florals, stationery and party favours shine through.

With an event washed with colours taking form, Silvia described her daughter’s big day as ‘whimsical with a pop of colour’.

The florals stole the show, featured on every table, incorporated into the celebration cake’s backdrop and subtly tying the colour palette together.

The pops of colour brought the celebration to life, the pink and orange colour palette found everywhere from the table settings, the cake backdrop, to the menus and the place cards.

The Menu

This celebration’s menu was full of Italian classics, and the food looked absolutely divine.

Antipasti were for guests, with picked vegetables, a range of meats, beef carpaccio, and vitello tonnato, along with plenty of ciabatta breads from the wood fire oven.

The main’s first course was lasagne, with beef ragu and a bechamel sauce, followed by an equally delicious crispy skinned porchetta, with plenty of sides.

But the celebration would not be complete without dessert, so guests were treated to celebration cake and gelati.

The Activities

The kiddies in attendance were spoilt for choice when it came to party entertainment.

A bouncy castle has always been a kid’s party classic, and this celebration is no different. The kids were bouncing up a storm and having the time of their lives.

For those who either didn’t want to bounce, or who were looking for more fun after, then a soft play ball pit was ready to go.

It definitely looked like a pretty fun time for the kiddies in attendance.
