Celebrate the birthday of your little star by hosting a celestial-inspired party!
If you’ve picked up a copy of HOORAY! Issue 6, you would have noticed that our Style Guide offers some free downloadable star and moon templates.
Well, here they are, along with some extra images and tips to help inspire your own celestial-themed birthday party!

Downloadable templates (download: HOORAY! small stars HOORAY! medium star HOORAY! large moon) | washi tape | scissors | tape | glue | party hats | crepe paper | metallic card | honeycomb balls | wooden dowels | ribbon | metallic paper | metallic card
WHAT TO DO
1. Create custom fringed party hats by purchasing a packet of ready-made party hats and crepe paper. Fold the crepe paper in half and use the scissors to fringe the paper. Starting at the base, glue the paper to the hat.
2. To make your own star wands, grab a packet of wooden dowels and paint the ends in a colour of your choice. Download the mini star template using the link above, then cut the stars out of thick, silver metallic card. Fasten your stars to the end of your wand using glue or tape and finish them off with some curled ribbon
3. Honeycomb balls are available in an array of colours and are a fantastic party decoration. Cluster the smaller versions in the centre of your table or hang them in bunches from the ceiling.
4. A cost-effective way to create a stylish dessert table is to keep the variety of desserts to a minimum, but ensure they’re all decorated to match the theme.
5. Download the star and moon templates below and use them to cut shapes of metallic paper. Fasten them to the walls using washi tape, or build an installation from the ceiling.
6. Create a photo wall using oversized balloons, honeycomb balls and stars made out of metallic card.
