Just because Summer’s over, doesn’t mean you can’t give your soiree the summery feel you’ve been dreaming up all season! Emily’s 25th birthday is the perfect example of how to inject a little sunshine into your event, no matter the time of the year.

To achieve the tropical vibe she was after, birthday girl and florist Emily used a bright colour palette of pink, orange and yellow, combined with fresh blooms like tropical ferns, lush greens, Orchids, Berries, Garden Roses and Dahlias.

‘I kept the flowers and grazing table quite bright, with softer colours for the draping linen and tableware to bring in an elegant and delicate feel,’ says Emily.

An intimate affair with just 10 guests, Emily decided a grazing table was most appropriate to ensure her birthday remained super relaxed.

The abundant table included grazing food like cheese, cold meats and breadsticks. There were also some special elements such as honeycomb and gold painted macarons, placed alongside tropical fruits to keep with the theme.

Emily says the idea behind her birthday graze was in-part to spoil her friends and enjoy their company.

‘The stationery was a personal touch for the guests. They really felt special and chosen, which is what I wanted – a day to celebrate with my friends but also thank them for being them!’ says Emily.

As for her advice for others planning a special event?

‘I’m a big fan of designing everything with intention. Making a mood board really helped me narrow down ideas,’ explains Emily.View More: http://ameliaclairephoto.pass.us/emilys25th
