A Dinner by The Daily Edited + Watsons Bay
Friday, August 17th, 2018 | By Rosalie Iannelli
Watson’s Bay Boutique Hotel is one of Sydney’s favourite wedding venues. So, when we heard they were partnering up with the queens of customisation, The Daily Edited, for a wedding showcase, we had a feeling it was going to be something pretty spectacular. Spoiler alert – it totally was.
TDE’s ever-so-brilliant founder, Alyce Tran, curated six contrasting wedding themes for this long table dinner, brought to life with stunning styling, fresh florals and plenty of monogrammed accessories (of course!).
Themes included ‘In Bloom’, celebrating bright and punchy florals; ‘Italian’, drawing influence from lemons and the coast; ‘Pink on Pink’ with whimsical floral centrepieces and pale pink keepsake boxes for guests; and ‘Monochrome’, a dramatic theme of dark hues and pops of white.
The end result was a spectacular table that showcased Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel’s versatility in event styling and superbly photogenic wedding concepts.
The catering did not disappoint, with guests dining a bespoke menu created by Sydney Collective Executive Chef, David Clarke. It featured canapes of tulips with whipped labne, lavender and pistachio praline, freshly shucked pacific oysters and Dixon Street duck. Mains were seared Murray cod, and lobster and shallot ravioli.
With six different (but equally amazing) themes to peruse, we bet you’ll spend a considerable amount of time uncovering new and inspiring details from this wedding showcase.
So, what are you waiting for? Start scrolling and enjoy!
