As we approach the end of summer in Australia (*tear), it’s time to start looking at some new season wedding styling inspiration.
We’ve found the ultimate winter styled shoot that uses so many of our favourite South Coast vendors. It’s a little bit gothic, a little bit dramatic and totally romantic.
Turns out a winter wedding doesn’t have to be so baron after all.
Based on the theme ‘The Future is Ours’, the styling is a contemporary interpretation of a classic winter wedding.
‘There is a rich, elegant play of textures throughout this shoot,’ says Monica and Clare of Hoorah Events.
‘From the lace and jacquards of the couture gowns to the plush velvet lounge settings, soft chiffon draping, crystal-cut glassware and the dramatic architectural ceiling installation.’
To create a moody backdrop, the talents behind these images used a colour palette of blacks and charcoals, which they offset against electric reds, candy pinks and just a hint of gold to create a sophisticated and luxurious winter romance.
Florals are in abundance in this moody wedding story and include a feast of opulent colours, textures and sculptural elements.
Tree stumps, woody pears, pomegranates and black grapes were nestled amongst the Nina Roses, Hydrangeas, Begonias and Cyclamen.
Hanging from the ceiling is a four-metre-long handmade floating canopy that uses about 40 bunches of Krokia and sprayed black Anthuriums
