Grace Harrison and her team at Milk and Honey Cake Creative styled this dreamy-vintage wedding to fulfil all of your retro desires.

Grace’s idea of the dream gathering is, “Getting together with your favourite people and doing what makes your heart happy.”

Well, Grace, we think, with this stunning celebration it would be difficult not to achieve that dream.

The Styling

Milk and Honey Cake Creative and all of their favourite vendors came together to produce a memorable mid-century modern wedding-themed shoot.

Every bit of styling they incorporated helped to nail this thrilling theme.

The team used colours of blush, teal, bright orange, mustard, and avocado to lend some warmth and brightness to the occasion.

Every element, from the sunburnt ceremony backdrop and velvet lounges to the vintage drinks trolley and crystal glasses nodded to nostalgia, but in a way that remains fresh and new.

Grace tells us, “A palette of deep bold and bright colours evokes a joyful, carefree and nostalgic vibe, and when paired with iconic patterns and textures, it’s a perfect modernised nod to the retro era.”

We can’t help but agree!

Grace’s top tip for nailing this energy in your wedding? “Be bold with colour and draw from inspiration from unconventional places.”

The Blooms

This pretty party is bursting with blooms.

The floral styling power team at The French Petal combined Poppies, Amaranthus, Roses, Banksia, Duranta Berries, Dahlias and Phylicia in different variations to create unique floral features at each stage of the wedding.

All the florals used fit seamlessly with the shoot’s theme and colour scheme, which helped to craft a cohesive style.
