A Dinosaur-Themed 4th Birthday Party

Get ready for a roar-ing cute birthday party! To celebrate Hugo’s fourth birthday, the birthday boy and a bunch of his best buds enjoyed a dinosaur-themed backyard party.

The Theme

The theme? Dinosaurs, of course!

Brooke, the creative talent behind Something White Events, tells us, “As with every little boy at age three, little Hugo was totally obsessed with dinosaurs … to be fair, who isn’t?”

“I wanted to create a stylish affair which was classy yet different from your typical everyday prehistoric-themed party. I thought about animals, safaris and then like lightening it hit me: AN EXPLORER party!”

Brooke used different shades of green focusing on mint with natural elements of wood and earthy tones to set the scene. This clever creative also made some binoculars and custom hats to turn all of the mini partygoers into proper little explorers, ready for a day of searching for dinosaurs.

Brooke adds, “Paper Playground made adorable little backpacks especially for the party, which were too perfect to even stand!”

The Sweet Treats

No good dinosaur-themed party would be complete without some dino treats!

Little explorers enjoyed a dinosaur-themed cake adorned with super cute dinosaur toppers, dinosaur macaroons, customised cookies and adorable dinosaur nest doughnuts.

Brooke tells us, “The desserts. Good lord, where to even BEGIN with the desserts. Just wow. As always, Sugar Cloud Cakes by Juny really stepped it up for this adorable cake. I really wanted to make the toppers the feature, but really make them look as though the cake was designed around them and boy, did she nail it!”

“The dinosaur macarons were absolutely gorgeous. They were so cute that no one actually wanted to eat them – but of course, they didn’t last long as they were just as delicious to eat as they looked!”

“The dinosaur nests were the perfect finish to this adorable little display. The kids were so excited when they arrived and had an absolute ball discovering all their sweet treats and searching for clues!”
