Remember that time we partnered with Brown Brothers Winery for our dream wedding giveaway? …Well, our winning couple, Danica and Julian finally got to tie the knot earlier this year!
Danica says, ‘Brown Brothers has been the highlight of weekends away with my family since I was a teenager. I knew from the moment I saw my first wedding there I wanted to get married at this venue.’
She adds, ‘We have enjoyed several prosecco brunches together as a couple and love the area. Our Brown Brothers Winery wedding was everything we envisioned and more. From the ceremony under the oak tree, photos in the forest, prosecco hour outside the barn and the beautiful reception inside. It was the most magical day and we couldn’t be happier.’
Today we’re sharing all the images from their whimsical celebration, which is brimming with romance, natural beauty and good vibes.
The nurse and excavator operator met under the beautiful oak tree in front of a rustic arbour, complete with dreamy floral touches from Wren Floralista. The groom and his best man wore beige Daniel Hetcher suits, with the bride dressed in a beautiful Karen Willis Holmes gown.
Both Danica and Julian cite the ceremony as their favourite moment from the day. Danica says, ‘My favourite moment was when I started walking down the aisle and the acoustic music started, I was overwhelmed with emotion and saw the man of my dreams standing at the end!’
Julian says the same, ‘Seeing my wife walk down that aisle was a moment I’ll never forget.’
After the couple said their I do’s, the guests made their way to the barn for prosecco hour, whilst the couple enjoyed photos in the forest on the property.
The reception took place in the recently restored Brown Brothers Barn, which was first built in 1860. Glass lanterns accompanied the neutral and blush-toned florals, trailing down the tables.
With a love for styling, Danica took the role upon herself adding a few touches to enhance the already elegant and simplistic venue. She included floor decals and a custom neon sign to add the wow-factor to the reception.
The reception was full of laughter, dancing and even a few tears. The bride’s brother is currently deployed with the Australian Defence Force and was unfortunately unable to attend the special day. However Danica’s friends and family arranged a life-size cut out of him and a special video message to present at the reception. Danica says ‘It was definitely a surprise and left me in tears’
After the formalities were out of the way, the couple danced the night away with their closest friends and family.
‘It was the most magical day and we couldn’t be happier!” The couple shared with HOORAY!, ‘We are eternally grateful to Hooray Mag and Brown Brothers. This celebration gave us the wedding of our dreams! Marrying each other was a new chapter in our lives that we could not wait to start.’
