Wedding Styling with Hope + Lace
We had a super fun time at our Brisbane wedding styling HOORAY! workshop with Hope and Lace on Friday June 13, 2014! First to arrive on the night was Bree from Hodgepodge hire to set up her tables, along with some crazy fluro pink bentwood chairs from Moreton Hire. Then it was Erin from Hope and Lace’s turn… The Bride’s Market worked as the perfect canvas for Erin to work her styling magic, and once she was done the place looked twice as beautiful! Poppies for Willow topped the styling off with some amazing floral arrangements, and then the space was ready to go. Students arrived right on 6pm and cracked open their goodie bags while Erin introduced herself. The bags were filled to the brim with gifts thanks to The Cake that Ate Paris, Blinc Cosmetics, Whileaway Guides, Coco Daydream, Ivy Invite, The Fix, Peachy Flamingo, Frankly My Dear, and Invitation Tea Towels. Then it was time to break into groups for the first activity of the night – mood boards. Of course, by this time we had cracked open the bubbly to help get everyone’s creative juices flowing. Dinner was supplied by the team at EatDrink Catering and my-oh-my did they deliver. They provided a mezze platter, basil wrapped sashimi tuna, savoury caprese macarons, and the cutest baby chilli chicken and corn sliders. It was all so amazing! After we feasted on the delicious spread, we regrouped to discuss the mood boards we had just created, then Erin answered everyone’s styling questions. Following a quick chat with HOORAY! Editor, Renee, it was sadly time to say goodbye and send our newly inspired students off into the night. A HUGE thanks goes out to our photographer Shane from Shane Shepherd Photography and our videographers Lemon Tree Film House for capturing the night!
