First birthdays are a big deal! And this ‘She’s a Gem’ themed birthday is no exception. Styled by her amazingly talented mum and aunty, Ellia’s birthday was colourful, cute and full of fun!

Ellia’s Mum Natalie says, ‘Ellia’s She’s a Gem themed first birthday party was the ultimate first birthday party for our sweet little girl! My sister Mercedes and I crafted our hearts out and created a fun, bright, happy party for my girl! Ellia is a colourful, fun chick! She loves art, the colour blue and dancing—we wanted the party to reflect her bright, happy personality.’

And the theme? Natalie explains, ‘the theme was she’s a gem, with geometric elements. Ellia is our precious miracle baby, our real life gem!’

Another beautiful aspect of this birthday was the photo feature of Ellia, put together by Natalie. Every week from the day Ellia was born, Natalie took an Instax Mini polaroid photo of her. At the party, she displayed them all on a wall so everyone could how she had grown and changed over the year.

Natalie and her sister Mercedes have been styling and creating fun, DIY filled, pretty parties since they were young. They both have a love of baking, crafting and celebrations. Together, they have a blog called The Party Parade.

Natalie explains, ‘It’s filled with all of the amazing parties and weddings we have made dessert tables and styled for, and also unique DIY ideas, projects and all things we love!
