A Boho DIY Watercolour Workshop
Wednesday, March 30th, 2016 | By Emily Coates
Consider yourself a creative spirit? This boho-inspired watercolour workshop will be right up your alley. With relaxed, but oh-so-elegant event styling, this ‘boho brush’ workshop is really something special.
Students sipped rosé wines, mingled and nibbled on a decadent cheese course in the cocktail area, before enjoying a lovely sit-down dinner at a beautifully-set table. When dinner was done, students began attempting to master the art of watercolour painting, learning how to letter and paint bohemian-style images.
The workshop was put together by Dionne of Nib and Pixel, a calligraphy and bespoke stationery business located in Houston, Texas.
Dionne says, ‘I wanted it to be different to the usual workshops I have seen, where people sit down and get to work immediately. We had a cocktail hour where students mingled and got to know each other before class began.’
She adds, ‘I really wanted to do something special and have a unique workshop where people could experience a really lovely and memorable night out. I wanted them to not only go home with new skills, but with new friends and great memories.’
