Looking for a unique Australian wedding venue with sky-high appeal? There’s nothing more romantic than partying high above the city streets against a backdrop of twinkling city lights.

If you’re dreaming of a wedding day with panoramic city views, open-air vibes and uninterrupted horizons, you’ll want to read on.

We’ve rounded up our favourite rooftop wedding venues from right around the country.

Tips and tricks

Before we dive in, here are a few tips and tricks to consider when planning a rooftop wedding:

1. Plan for bad weather

Weather can be totally unpredictable! Be sure to have a wet weather Plan B up your sleeve in case the weather turns sour.

2. Watch the wind

Rooftop venues can get kinda windy. You’ll want to consider how this might affect your decor, making sure that all lightweight items are safely secured (..and if you’re planning to wear a veil, make sure that bad boy is clipped in real tight!).

3. Consider your lighting

Whilst sunsets make for a jaw-droppingly beautiful ceremony backdrop, shooting into glaring sunlight can be a little tricky for your photographer to work with. If gorgeous wedding snaps at the ceremony are a priority for you, we suggest chatting with your photographer about the best timing for a ceremony based on sunlight in the venue.

Okay, now, onto our favourite picks!
